Diabetes Clinic Summer Student (May 2007 - present)

Participated in a variety of activities at the clinic, including: creating and editing educational materials for diabetics and creating and editing web pages for the www.diabetesclinic.ca website using Adobe GoLive.

Pharmacy Technician (Jan 2002 - present)
The DrugStore Pharmacy, Purcell's PharmaPlus, Smiths Falls ON

Responsibilities included processing prescriptions on a computer, organizing prescription hard copies, preparing medication for dispensing, serving customers and answering phones. From January 2004 to December 2006, I oversaw the training of 7 other technicians;

  • Presently in third year of the biomedical computing program at Queen's University. I achieved an 87% and 83% average in my first and second years respectively;
  • Graduated from SFDCI, with a 96% average;
  • French Immersion: 1996 – 2001; capable of speaking and understanding basic French;

  • Winner of the Queen's Principal's Scholarship for academic excellence, valued at $10,000 over two years, Sept 2005;
  • Winner of the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship for academic excellence, valued at $14,000 over four years, Sept 2005;
  • Placed on the Dean’s Honour List at Queen’s University; May 2007;
  • Placed on the Dean’s Honour List at Queen’s University; May 2006;
  • Academic award for Top Male at SFDCI, June 2005;
  • Gold Plateau Award for involvement in extracurricular and academic excellence, May 2005;
  • Second place in The University of Waterloo Pascal math contest for grade 11 students at SFDCI, March 2003;

Awards: Athletic

  • Kinsmen Community award for commitment and dedication to the sport of soccer, Nov 2005;
  • Soccer goaltender for SFDCI from September 2001 to May 2005. This culminated with an appearance at the all Ontario tournament in 2004. It was the first time in 28 years that a soccer team from SFDCI made it to this level of competition;
  • Athlete of the Year and Most Valuable Player for the junior basketball team, junior soccer team and senior volleyball team, April 2004;
